Details:
The company won the Construction of West Sohag Water Treatment Plant Contract (SG-WT-01) within the Improved Water and Wastewater Services Program Phase II (IWSP II) in Egypt at a value of 258 million L.E
The scope of the project includes:
* Establishment of a new water treatment plant to increase the total capacity of the plant from 250 liters/second to 350 liters/second with a surface treatment type using Lamella settlers followed by rapid sand filters.
* Additional work:
- Demolish the current building
- Development and rehabilitation of the raw water withdrawal station and its intake
- Rehabilitation of the current intake with a capacity of 250 L/s
- Developing the treated water pumping station to accommodate the increase in capacity
- Installing a new sludge treatment system to ensure safe disposal
* Project objectives:
- Benefit from existing old station facilities
- Increasing the amount of water produced from 26,000 m3/day to 34,000 m3/day and increasing per capita water consumption from 190 to 210 liters/person/day
